Are All Driving Instructors the Same?
Many learners and parents assume every driving instructor offers the same level of training. However, there is an important difference between a trainee instructor and someone who is fully qualified.
Trainee instructors can legally charge for lessons while completing their qualification. Their status should be clearly displayed on the tuition vehicle.
How to Check Your Instructor’s Status
- Ask whether your instructor is fully qualified when booking
- Look for the official badge displayed in the front windscreen
A PINK triangle indicates a trainee instructor. A GREEN octagon signifies a fully qualified instructor.
